Pregnancy

John has attended special classes to learn pregnancy massage. John uses equipment called "The Body System." This equipment is made of 4 pieces, and is designed to support the Mother's abdomen and child. This equipment raises the expectant mother's body off the table so she can actually lie on her stomach comfortably without pressure on the tender abdominal area. This equipment includes components to accommodate the woman's breasts to minimize discomfort, especially if she is lactating. The system is designed to put the mother's body at complete ease during the massage. John has experience in pre-delivery, delivery, and post-delivery massage. John has also done infant massage. His youngest client was 15 days old.

Fibromyalgia

Including all of the course material and techniques John was taught at Seattle Massage School, concerning fibromyalgia, he has also developed his own technique for fibromyalgia clients. The touch is light, using gentle strokes, and the amount of pressure depends on each individual client's tolerance level. The client is always in control of the amount of aggressiveness in this treatment.

Trauma

No two people are alike when in similar accidents. Each injury sustained is different. Acquiring information from the client such as what the person was doing at the time of the accident provides insight in to treatment direction. Even how the client was seated, and where they were seated at the time of the accident, enables John determine which muscle groups were in action, and the types of treatments that are required to affect healing and relief.
